IMS Prussia Cove has been an invaluable contribution to British and international life. It must continue to flourish in a seminar spirit...

You can support the International Musicians’ Seminar in many different ways.

How is IMS Prussia Cove funded?
IMS Prussia Cove needs to raise the funds to pay the Maestri and other outgoings of the seminars, and aims to keep the fees at a level which can be afforded by the majority of participating musicians. The FRIENDS of IMS raise money in Cornwall through these concerts and other events, but these funds and the fees cover only about a third of the cost of the seminars, so IMS Prussia Cove must raise approximately £110,000 each year to cover the deficit. We welcome sponsorship from business and charitable organisations, and also from individuals who may be interested in helping to foster these traditions of excellence.

We are looking for sponsors who will provide funding, ideally over a numberof years, for the following: the Artistic Director, professors, faculty pianists, bursaries for master class students and concerts. Please contact the IMS office if you are interested in helping us on020 7720 9020
.

Support a participating student by donating a bursary
Many of the participating students cannot afford the fees for the master classes. We aim to find bursaries, or help with travel expenses for students who have been accepted and are facing financial difficulties. If you would like to support a young musician and help further and enhance their career, contact the IMS office for further details.

Become a FRIEND of IMS Prussia Cove
The concerts in Cornwall are arranged by the Friends of IMS Prussia Cove: their aim is to promote a wider involvement with the musical life of Cornwall. Friends enjoy a number of benefits, including advance information of concerts and free access to three sessions per week of rehearsals and masterclasses subject to space.

By becoming a member of the Friends of IMS you are helping to support one of the most important centres of music making in Cornwall, acknowledged both nationally and internationally.

Annual subscription is £12.00 (£18.00 for family membership and £3 for Junior / Student). Click here to find out more.

Volunteer Helpers
During the seminars, we rely on and are extremely grateful for the good will and hard work of a team of volunteer helpers, the majority of whom are needed in the kitchen. Reliable drivers (aged 25+) and a few office/library helpers are also needed. Volunteers work in shifts and do a maximum of 5 hours a day. The kitchen is run by two professional cooks and the helpers work in teams preparing food, serving meals and clearing up. Board and lodging and some travel expenses are provided. All helpers may attend concerts and sit in on master classes or rehearsal sessions when not on a shift. If you are interested in helping please contact the IMS office for further details.
