The application deadline for Master Classes 2009 is FRIDAY 28th NOVEMBER.

The Master Classes were founded in 1972 by Sándor Végh and the Programming Director, Hilary Behrens.

The seminars provide a totally professional atmosphere and aim to foster the highest level of advanced study, drawing inspiration from the mid-European tradition.

Application and selection (Age limit: 16–30)
Fees for the 2007 courses were per 10-day course:
£740 solo / £1200 duo / £1800 trio / £2400 quartet


Registration
The size of the classes is limited. The deadline for arrival of applications is 30 November 2007. Please contact the IMS office before submitting a late application.

What is required:
1. Two copies of a good quality cassette tape recording or CD of approximately 20 minutes’ music
(Preferably 2 pieces contrasting in style. Each CD/tape should be the same). NB – NO mini discs or DATs please.

2. Written recommendations from two master musicians.

3. Biographical details with dates of conservatoires, teachers, diplomas, prizes, concert experience.

4. Non-returnable registration fee of £25.

Successful applicants will be expected to attend the full course of any one professor. The full course fee must be paid in all circumstances.
